FEAR & LOATHING
Taking a cue from Hunter S. Thompson, the Little Blue Men released their own surreal tale of bad acid trips with "Fear & Loathing in Manchester." Microgram is now giving this classic a deluxe reissue, complete with the obscure companion film starring Ted Knight and Charles Nelson Riley.

The album proper is, for the first time, issued on 180g vinyl, and is a true treat for fans of the quirky songs contained within. Original artwork (die hard fans will surely know that's a distorted picture of Charlie Chaplin on the cover) is supplemented with a new set of 10x10" lithographs by Leroy Neiman. The Neiman art is reproduced on 4x4" cards for the CD version.

The new master sounds better than ever, with songs like "Tripping Balls" and "This Trip is Making This Trip Feel Even Longer," turned into sonic tours de force.

The real gem in this set, however, is the companion movie of the same name. Long out of print, it is issued on DVD for the first time ever, with a Dolby 5.1 surround mix. The close-ups of Ted Knight's dilated pupils whilst a young Judd Hirsch sings "Hello Dolly" are worth the price of the package alone.

Pick this one up. Microgram is just getting rolling on their LBM reissues this year, and you'll definitely want to complete your collection!
